THE SILENT WATERS by Brittainy C. Cherry Release Blitz & Book Review

Title: The Silent Waters
Series: Romance Elements #3
Author: Brittainy C. Cherry
Genre: Romance
 Release Date: September 22, 2016

B L U R B:

Moments.

Our lives are a collection of moments. Some utterly painful and full of yesterday's hurts. Some beautifully hopeful and full of tomorrow's promises.

I’ve had many moments in my lifetime, moments that changed me, challenged me. Moments that scared me and engulfed me. However, the biggest ones—the most heartbreaking and breathtaking ones—all included him.

I was ten years old when I lost my voice. A piece of me was stolen away, and the only person who could truly hear my silence was Brooks Griffin. He was the light during my dark days, the promise of tomorrow, until tragedy found him. Tragedy that eventually drowned him in a sea of memories.

This is the story of a boy and girl who loved each other, but didn’t love themselves. A story of life and death. Of love and broken promises.

Of moments.

(Book Three in the Elements Series. Complete Standalone.)

MY R E V I E W:
If you follow my reviews then, well first off, THANK YOU!, and secondly you know that my love for Brittany C. Cherry knows no limits...and continues to grow with each book she writes.

The Silent Waters was book 3 in The Elements Series. The Air He Breathes (book 1) and The Fire Between Hi & Low (book 2) blew me away, stole my heart, rocked my world, well you get the idea. The Silent Waters (OH! Before I forget I want to mention that they are all complete stand alones, separate characters, separate worlds, no need to read in order but I can't beg you enough... READ ALL OF THEM!)

The Silent Waters draws you in with the first chapter. I was head over heels IN LOVE with both BROOKS & MAGGIE. My gosh, these two. So dang cute and just INSTA INSTA LOVE... for me, not for them. I was highlighting like a crazy person, forcing my family members to listen while I read passages outloud, only for them to beg me to read more, and then asking later in the day, "Ok now what's happening?" These two are addictive! I'm telling you! You've been warned. :)

Now explain to me why... after reading six brilliant Brittainy C. Cherry books prior to this one, each one slaying me and claiming ownership on a piece of my heart... WHY was I surprised when this book decided to completely destroy me? I mean come ON...

I should know the drill by now right?! But there I was... minding my own business, reading one of the greatest books I have ever read... when suddenly, without warning and against my will, plop, my heart was stolen right out of my chest. Was it hurt? Yes. Was it treated with care and compassion? Yes. Its an interesting feeling, someone else holding your heart in their hands. Weather it be the author or the fictional character itself. Its such a delicate relationship of trust, pleading someone who can't hear your voice not to break you beyond repair...

This book was beautiful, it was courage with a heavy dose of fear. It was forever but kept you treasuring every single precious moment. Speaking of forever, I wanted to spend forever inside of this book, this world, wrapped up in these characters. I silently pleaded for it never to end.

Read this book my beautiful book sisters. Give yourself the gift of stolen Silent Moments, and live in this forever with Maggie & Brooks, and ME. <3

5 Questions with Brittainy C. Cherry

1.
What are you currently reading? Was there a specific book or few books that rocked your world and inspired you to want to write?

I’m currently on a reading break because I have a book deadline, but the best book I read so far this year was Weightless by Kandi Steiner. I haven’t stopped thinking about it since I read it MONTHS ago! SO good. It’s hard to say which books rocked me and made me want to write, but I think when I was younger, I remembered reading The Five People You Meet In Heaven in two hours, and sitting back going, ‘Wow.’ That’s was when I was fifteen, and I wrote my first novel at sixteen.

2.
Your words, your writing style, every line feels so artfully crafted, it reads almost as poetry. Almost like a song. The story itself being the lyrics but the way you make the move and flow in a style that no one else does I feel like that is your own Brittainy C. Cherry melody. Can you speak to us about your process a little?

Thank you so much for your kind words! That means the world to me. My writing style is

quite different, and I have heard pros and cons for it, so hearing your words makes me smile. My process involves a lot of writing random scenes, and then slowly piecing the story together. A lot of the time, I know the conclusion of the story before anything else, and I know the major points, so I write those scenes first. Then, I tie in the rest. It’s weird, but it works for me!

3.
Your current book series is based on the Earth’s Elements. Starting with The AIR he Breathes, followed by The FIRE Between High & Low. The next book, from what I understand will have a theme (or at least a title) based on WATER, would you tell us a little bit about it? Any tiny teasers or details you can give us? Do you have a release date or month in mind?

Yes! So, it’s call The Silent Waters, and it’s an emotional story about young love growing from dark places. It takes you on the journey of Brooks Griffin and Maggie Riley, two individuals who need to find themselves, and their voices in the darkest of times. The Silent Waters is a novel that reflects a lot on finding yourself in the quiet moments, and not being afraid of what you find.

4.
[ Purchase: Loving Mr. Daniels ]
You have written so many beautiful books. All packed full of the emotions that pull us out of our comfort zones and take us to places we may not be prepared to go, but we never want to leave. For new readers who have never read your books do you have a book you recommend for them to read first? A starting point?

I’d say start with Loving Mr. Daniels. I believe that is the book where I found my own voice and it has helped me move forward with my other novels. Daniel and Ashlyn hold a special place in my heart.

5.
[ Purchase: Art & Soul ]
Of the characters you’ve written, do they all have traits, characteristics, parts of you woven into them? Is there one you can relate to most? Is there a book boyfriend you’ve created that has captured your heart above the others?

Oh definitely. I think one I truly, deeply love is Levi from Art & Soul. He’s the definition of being the complete opposite of what others believe him to be. He’s gentle, and kind, and just all around a beautiful soul.

I was warned about Tristan Cole.

“Stay away from him,” people said.
“He’s cruel.”
“He’s cold.”
“He’s damaged.”

It’s easy to judge a man because of his past. To look at Tristan and see a monster.

But I couldn’t do that. I had to accept the wreckage that lived inside of him because it also lived inside of me.

We were both empty.
We were both looking for something else. Something more.
We both wanted to put together the shattered pieces of our yesterdays.

Then perhaps we could finally remember how to breathe.

There once was a boy, and I loved him.

Logan Francis Silverstone and I were complete opposites. I danced, and he stood still. He was quiet, while I ran my mouth. He struggled to find a smile, and I refused to frown.

The night I saw the darkness that truly lived inside of him, I couldn't look away.

We were broken together, yet somehow whole. We were wrong together, but always right. We were the stars that burned across the night sky, searching for a wish, praying for better tomorrows.

Until the day I lost him. He threw us away with one hasty decision--a decision that changed us forever.

There once was a boy, and I loved him.

And for a few breaths, a few whispers, a few moments, I think he loved me, too.

Bonus Question:
So…
Elizabeth (From The Air He Breathes) invites You & Alyssa (From The Fire Between High & Lo) over for a Girls Night!
You guys watched this movie: Probably something like This is the End or The Hangover, something that would make us laugh! Or Magic Mike, because, duh!

And binge ate this food: Chinese food with extra egg rolls and sweet & sour sauce! Oreos for Alyssa, of course!

Had a dance party to this album: New Kids on the Block, because we are cheesy and awesome.

And of course talked about boys!
Tristan, Logan, and Your Book Boyfriend: Can we talk about Daniel from Loving Mr. Daniels. Swoon. I just love them all!

…Meanwhile, those three dudes, were hanging out together doing this: Making music, drinking beers, and talking about chicks and whatever it is guys talk about when they are alone together. ;)

Book #2 in the Romance Elements Series.

My Review:

I have read hundreds of absolutely beautiful Romance Novels, from dozens, if not hundreds of authors that I just adore. Through my reading, my research ;), there is something that I know for certain. Much like I truly believe in love, believe in soul mates that there is someone(s) out there for everyone, that souls truly do connect... I believe that there are authors out there for everyone. :) I believe that there are some authors out there that just speak directly to our souls. They engrain their words on our hearts and leave them there. Brittainy C. Cherry is my author soul mate. I'm not kidding you guys. I love romance, I love love stories. I love the feeling I get in my heart when I read beautiful tales of falling head over heels in love, I love the anticipation of the drama, the will they won't they, the how can they ever get through this. But with Brittany's writing all of that goes out the window for me.

Her words are poetry, they're a song, they're a feeling they're the outpouring our pure raw emotion, composed into an orchestra of absolute LOVE. The beautiful parts, the silly parts, the gut wrenching parts. The melody flows as smoothly as the tears. Life, death, hope, tragedy, fear, joy, bliss, lust, all of the elements of LOVE are found, perfectly composed into each one of her books, a beautiful song, and I feel that each one was written to be played just for me. She knows my heart.

Still reading this? :) Awesome, lets talk about THE FIRE BETWEEN HIGH AND LOW. We'll start with my LOGAN. Logan Francis Silverstone
"How far into the shadows did you drive tonight, Logan?"

"He bent forward and kissed me. He kissed me with promises that we never made to one another. He kissed me with apologies for things he never did. He kissed me with all that he was, and I kissed him back with everything that exists within me."

Sweet, beautifully broken Logan. There was so much of this boy that I understood. I know his demons, I've met them first hand. I love his pure heart. That no matter what life throws at him, no matter how shitty the hand he's been dealt, he just wants to be good, to do good. He doesn't give up on himself or the ones he loves.

That being said, if you're not one of the very few lucky enough to be loved by him, then you're kinda shit outta luck:

Its just the little things: "When she felt cold I gave her my hoodie. When my heart broke, she held my hand." ...I'll hold your hand Logan, if you'll hold mine.

And here she is in all her amazing light and glory, Alyssa Marie Walters:

I love in a book when I fall every bit as hard for the heroine as I do of the hero. I LOVED this girl. She was the perfect mix of strength and courage, and sass and whimsical. Everything I look for in a book bestie! I love that her love for Logan was fierce, unwavering and constant.

I don't know what else to say except stop reading this blog immediately and go one click the shit out of this brilliant book. You will not be sorry, and you will not ever forget it.

XO -bex
