SAY YOU WANT ME by Corinne Michaels Review Blitz

   sywm_anad

S Y N O P S I S:

There’s no way I’ll fall for Wyatt Hennington.

He can keep his Southern drawl, irresistible smile, and those pick-up lines all to himself. I made the mistake of sleeping with him not once, but twice. I’m not stupid enough to give him round three, especially after he left me in the middle of the night so I could see myself out. I vow to return to Philadelphia and forget him.

It proves easier said than done.

When the doctor informs me I’m the winner of door prize number two, I put my life on hold and head back to Bell Buckle. Three months and if we can’t make this work, I’m gone.

What a sweet wonderful journey these Hennington boys have taken us on. Corinne writes in such a realistic feel, I want to say her books are just easy, I don't know how else to say that. The fall into love  with her characters, the feeling at home in her story and world that she created, it just came so easily. It didn't require thought or time, warming up or getting comfortable, I was just in love with this world from page one of Say You'll Stay, and I've wanted to live in this world ever since.

I knew early on that Wyatt was my favorite Hennington Brother. I try not to always pick favorites in books, but Wyatt just spoke to me. He has this compassion and warmth about him, but he's also cocky, adorable and hilarious. Basically my dream man. :)

I love this series, I loved the moments I got to live in this story, it felt like home.

One word.
Stay.

It was all he had to do. Instead, he got on that bus and took my heart with him.

That was seventeen years ago.

I moved on. Marriage. Kids. White picket fence. Everything I ever wanted, but my husband betrayed me and I was left once again.

Alone, penniless, and with two boys, I had no choice but to return to Tennessee. He wasn’t supposed to be there. I should’ve been safe. However, fate has a way of stepping in.

This time around, the tables are turned. It’s my decision. Second chances do exist, but I don’t know if we can repair what’s already been broken . . .

M Y   R E V I E W:
I fell so hard and fast for this book. I had never read a Corinne Michaels book before. I wasn't sure what to expect going in. But it just gripped me right from the very start. I was hooked.

I loved the heroine of this book, Presley. She was so completely real, and honest. I don't want to give anything away but the events that take place in her life, the way she described the struggle, and the process. I just completely related and felt so connected with Presley. And it made me so excited to see where she would take me on her journey.

I loved the small town feel of the book. The history she had with all of the characters. Wyatt was one of my favorite parts of the book, he was definitely the much needed comic relief, but we also got to see a deeper, thoughtful side to him. We got a peek into his heart and I loved what was inside.

Zachary was a great hero. I didn't fall for him quite as hard as I fell for Wyatt, but that was just my personal preference and this story wasn't a love triangle. Zach is one of three amazing Hennington brothers. (Fingers Crossed that we get to read more about his two brothers.) He grew up with Pres in their small town. They were high school sweethearts, but life took them in separate directions.

I loved the simplicity of the plot there were no twists where there were huge misunderstandings that tore the two apart, or unnecessary drama. It was just LIFE. Circumstance and opportunity lead them in two different directions, and whole lives were lived (and created), while they were apart, but then that same life brought their paths back together. Weather it be fate or tragedy, we have to read to find out what will happen once that closed door is re-opened.

E X C E R P T:
“Hey.” Zach peers at me as I shake off my thoughts. “I figured you’d be asleep.” He climbs the steps slowly as I get to my feet.
“I figured you’d be gone.”
I walk toward him, unsure of why he’s here. “I left for a bit, but wanted to come check on you.”
“Oh.”
He snickers. “I couldn’t sleep.”
“Me either.” He’s close enough that I can smell his cologne. Even after a long night, being in the woods, he smells like home.
I take another step.
Then another.
I’m so close I have to tilt my head to look into his eyes.
I breathe him in, feel his heat, and I can’t stop myself. I want him. I need him. I grip his neck and yank his mouth to mine. I kiss him. I kiss him and give in to everything I’ve been feeling. He doesn’t waste a second. His arms wrap around me, holding my body against his. My fingers grip his neck, keeping him exactly where I need him. This kiss is frantic, but God it feels good.
