S Y N O P S I S:
Sometimes the things we shouldn’t want become exactly what we need . . . Waitressing at a seedy strip club isn’t ideal, but it pays Sarah Adamson’s tuition. Her goal is to finish her master’s program and get a job that doesn’t involve tight skirts and groping hands. She doesn’t need distractions. Especially not the one that comes in the form of a hot-as-sin tattoo artist who works across the street from her apartment. Kicked out at sixteen, and a high school dropout, Chris Zelter is familiar with wanting things he can’t have. His fractured life has never been easy. As the product of someone else’s bad decisions, he knows exactly what happens when the wrong person controls your marionette strings. Now an accomplished tattoo artist in a renowned studio in Chicago, Chris has it together. Mostly. Apart from his infatuation with Sarah. She’s way out of his league, and Chris knows it. But he’s willing to be her bad decision. At least for now.Add to Goodreads
M Y R E V I E W:
Helena Hunting has done it again, time and time again she gives us characters who when we meet we fall for their fun, lighthearted easy going charming exterior, then as we continue reading we just uncover layer after layer after layer of raw, emotions, history, struggles and we just get to the core of who her characters. All the while falling more and more in love with them.
Fractures in Ink was no different. My only complaint about it at all was that it said it was a standalone, and I definitely felt like I was missing out, not that I was confused about what was going on, but more just that I could feel that there was a whole history, backstory that I had cheated myself out of by not reading the first couple of books in this series. But anytime you aren't reading Helena Hunting's work you're missing out right? :) Don't miss out on this one! :)
