ARC Review of THE BAD ONES by Stylo Fantome

AMAZON | GOODREADS

Blurb:

Love isn't always bright and shiny.

Sometimes, it's dirty and wrong, buried six feet deep in a secret place where only wild things dare to go. Hidden behind a big black curtain that covers things no one should ever see.

Sometimes it happens between two people who should never be allowed to come together. One who is a match, and the other who just happens to be gasoline.

One strike is all it takes to burn the whole world down, and that's exactly what they plan on doing.

Even if it kills them.

Review:

Stylo Fantome, this girl, holy shit. She blows my mind EVERY. SINGLE. TIME! I can never just completely feel safe or at ease while reading her books because there is no trust in our relationship, none, zero. Just when I think I know where a plot is headed she pulls the rug out from under me. And I love it. I love every minute of it.

The Bad Ones, was every bit as badass and insane as I had though and hoped that it would be. A crazy intense love story that made my heart beat out of my chest in the very best way. I went into this book with caution, and pretty much clueless where it would lead. And I think that is the best way to approach it. I don't want to give away too much in this review at all. I guess if there is anything I can say about it its that Con is such an awesome character. He has all the qualities we love in an alpha male, but is just the right amount of insane to the level of it being sexy as fuck but not totally scary. :) He hates hard but loves even harder.

"Constantine Masters, the belle of the ball, the toast of the town, and he was made just for me! Oh yes, I fucking believe in the power of prayer, you don't even know the half of it"
-this is an excerpt from my own personal diary. (just kidding.)

Dulcie is just a badass heroine (my favorite kind). She's a little quiet and soft spoken in the beginning of the book. Choosing to fly under the radar and go unnoticed rather then take shit from anyone. But through out the course of the book she becomes more comfortable in her own skin. More self aware and isn't willing to hide any longer. The fire there was a fire simmering inside her over the course of her life. Ready to ignite at the tiniest spark. Con was the match that set her fire free and together they were an inferno ready to burn down the world around them.

"You saw through the blacks and the reds
and you saw this beautiful horror,
these terrifying dreams and..."
-ahhhh this quote s too good! I don't want to give anything away,
stop reading this review and go one click this book!!!

About The Author:

Crazy woman living in an undisclosed location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a necessity!), I have been writing since ..., forever? Yeah, that sounds about right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball - I also see shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I'm clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.

I like dogs more than I like most people, and I don't trust anyone who doesn't drink. No, I do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there's your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair - both a curse and a blessing - and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can't understand me.

Yeah. I think that about sums me up.
