Blurb:
There once was a boy, and I loved him.
Logan Francis Silverstone was the complete opposite of me. I danced while he stood still. He was quiet, and I was always running my mouth. He struggled to find a smile while I refused to frown.
The night I saw the darkness that truly lived inside of him, I couldn’t look away.
We were broken together, yet somehow whole. We were wrong together, but always right. We were the stars that burned across the night sky, searching for a wish, praying for better tomorrows.
Until the day I lost him. He threw us away with one hasty decision—a decision that changed us forever.
There once was a boy, and I loved him.
And for a few breaths, a few whispers, a few moments, I think he loved me, too.

Book #2 in the Romance Elements Series.
My Review:
I have read hundreds of absolutely beautiful Romance Novels, from dozens, if not hundreds of authors that I just adore. Through my reading, my research ;), there is something that I know for certain. Much like I truly believe in love, believe in soul mates that there is someone(s) out there for everyone, that souls truly do connect... I believe that there are authors out there for everyone. :) I believe that there are some authors out there that just speak directly to our souls. They engrain their words on our hearts and leave them there. Brittainy C. Cherry is my author soul mate. I'm not kidding you guys. I love romance, I love love stories. I love the feeling I get in my heart when I read beautiful tales of falling head over heels in love, I love the anticipation of the drama, the will they won't they, the how can they ever get through this. But with Brittany's writing all of that goes out the window for me.
Her words are poetry, they're a song, they're a feeling they're the outpouring our pure raw emotion, composed into an orchestra of absolute LOVE. The beautiful parts, the silly parts, the gut wrenching parts. The melody flows as smoothly as the tears. Life, death, hope, tragedy, fear, joy, bliss, lust, all of the elements of LOVE are found, perfectly composed into each one of her books, a beautiful song, and I feel that each one was written to be played just for me. She knows my heart.
Still reading this? :) Awesome, lets talk about THE FIRE BETWEEN HIGH AND LOW. We'll start with my LOGAN. Logan Francis Silverstone
"How far into the shadows did you drive tonight, Logan?"
"He bent forward and kissed me. He kissed me with promises that we never made to one another. He kissed me with apologies for things he never did. He kissed me with all that he was, and I kissed him back with everything that exists within me."
Sweet, beautifully broken Logan. There was so much of this boy that I understood. I know his demons, I've met them first hand. I love his pure heart. That no matter what life throws at him, no matter how shitty the hand he's been dealt, he just wants to be good, to do good. He doesn't give up on himself or the ones he loves.
That being said, if you're not one of the very few lucky enough to be loved by him, then you're kinda shit outta luck:
Its just the little things: "When she felt cold I gave her my hoodie. When my heart broke, she held my hand." ...I'll hold your hand Logan, if you'll hold mine.
And here she is in all her amazing light and glory, Alyssa Marie Walters:
I love in a book when I fall every bit as hard for the heroine as I do of the hero. I LOVED this girl. She was the perfect mix of strength and courage, and sass and whimsical. Everything I look for in a book bestie! I love that her love for Logan was fierce, unwavering and constant.
I don't know what else to say except stop reading this blog immediately and go one click the shit out of this brilliant book. You will not be sorry, and you will not ever forget it.
