THE GOAL (Off Campus #4) by Elle Kennedy Book Review

S Y N O P S I S:

She’s good at achieving her goals…

College senior Sabrina James has her whole future planned out: graduate from college, kick butt in law school, and land a high-paying job at a cutthroat firm. Her path to escaping her shameful past certainly doesn’t include a gorgeous hockey player who believes in love at first sight. One night of sizzling heat and surprising tenderness is all she’s willing to give John Tucker, but sometimes, one night is all it takes for your entire life to change.

But the game just got a whole lot more complicated

Tucker believes being a team player is as important as being the star. On the ice, he’s fine staying out of the spotlight, but when it comes to becoming a daddy at the age of twenty-two, he refuses to be a bench warmer. It doesn’t hurt that the soon-to-be mother of his child is beautiful, whip-smart, and keeps him on his toes. The problem is, Sabrina’s heart is locked up tight, and the fiery brunette is too stubborn to accept his help. If he wants a life with the woman of his dreams, he’ll have to convince her that some goals can only be made with an assist.

M Y  R E V I E W:
I have loved and I mean LOVED every single book in this series. Every boy in this series and each of these girls. The chemistry is always off the charts. I love getting to know the characters so well while hanging out in their group of guy friends at the same time as I'm falling in love with them through they eyes of their girls. The Chemistry between the dudes in this series is every bit as amazing as the chemistry between the heroes & heroines. Its beautiful and I love it. I remember reading The Deal on the treadmill at our gym. I was like I can totally get lost in this lovely book and just get my little jog on.... cut to me looking like a lunatic, almost face planting because Dean had me laughing so damn hard. These boys complete me. :)

And holy hell, who saw Tucker coming?! I mean we knew he could cook, we knew that he was an awesome friend, but oh my gosh, he is so completely SWOON-TASTIC! He's charming and gorgeous, and dirty in all the right ways. He is loyal to a fault and brilliant. Ugh. TUCKER MARRY ME! I love this man.

I'm pretty protective of my book boyfriends, but I have to say that Miss Sabrina James was definitely worth of my sweet Tucker. Loved this girl and her determination and drive. She had her life figured out. She was not dealt a very good hand in life (until Tucker) and she was determined to change her fate. She was inspiring and I just wanted so bad to hug her, high five her, and just be like GET IT GIRL!!!! I hated the shit she went through, it was so hard to read about. But she didn't sit back whining or complain about her circumstance, she worked her ass off and set out to accomplish her goals.

I think Elle definitely has upped the drama on us just a little bit after each book in this series. This book definitely took it to the next level but no complaints here. It held my heart and mind captive the whole way through

The Goal, such a perfect title for this book because, yes, hockey reference Go Briar! But also because it had so much to do with setting goals for ourselves. And how as life gives us new challenges or opportunities, sometimes our ultimate goal shifts or changes, can we always be flexible enough to adapt to those circumstances? Or do we set our sights on the prize and power through?

Anyhow, I can't recommend this series strongly enough. Its SUCH a perfect mix of Laugh Out Loud Moments, Drama, Sexy Fun Times, Friendship, and just LOVE!
